AB: An extensive look at the development of hockey in Alberta since 1893, with information on a wide range of Alberta's hockey history including Alberta's hockey origins and Edmonton's Thistle Rink built in 1902 as well as the beginning of the Alberta Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA) and Alberta's early attempts at the Stanley Cup. Also mentioned in the book is information on professional and senior hockey in Alberta during the 1920's up until the 1950's as well as Allan Cup champions- the Calgary Stampeders. The book covers the World Hockey Association and the National Hockey League in Alberta as well as intermediate and junior hockey along with university and college hockey. As well, there are individual chapters on native hockey, ladies hockey heritage and minor hockey highlights as well as the hot stove league
