AB: The history of the World Hockey Association (WHA) is followed from its inception to its creation of superstars to its disbandment. A timeline of significant events in the WHA is tracked. There are lists, photos, and brief descriptions of the WHA's 50 best players. The book showcases interviews with players about the early days of the WHA; interviewees include Ron Ward from the Calgary Cowboys; Al Hamilton, Jim Harrison, and Ed Patenaude, who all played for the Alberta/Edmonton Oilers, and ASHFM inductee Valere 'Val' Fonteyne (2011), also played for Oilers. The book also included rosters, statistics, and drafts from the league in the 1970s.
