AB: This autobiography follows the life of professional hockey player Theo Fleury and his off ice battles with drug addiction, abuse and depression. The narrative follows his early life in Saskatchewan, his sexual abuse at the hands of his junior coach and his lifelong struggle to cope with the guilt and self-loathing brought on by this betrayal. Fleury's NHL and later hockey career's are covered in detail, including his initial year with the Calgary Flames and their 1989 run to win the Stanley Cup and the remainder of his 11 years with that franchise. The book closes with the final dark chapter of Fleury's self-abusive life before finding redemption and a second chance in business and motivational speaking in the city that made him famous.
