Edmonton Rugby Union Fond 1961-1993
Record No. MS-672AB: The Edmonton Rugby Union (ERU) was officially organized in 1960, although rugby has been played in Edmonton since 1893. The fonds consists of minutes, agendas, correspondence, financial papers, annual reports and other documents created y th Edmonton Rugby Union.

Alberta Rugby Union Fonds 1954-2002
M 6930, M 7760, M 7916, M 8632, M 8811, M 8863, M 8966, NA 5249AB: Although rugby had been played in Alberta as early as the 1880's, it was not revitalized until the early 1950's when British and other immigrants in Calgary and Edmonton formed teams. In 1954, the Saints and the Saracens were established in Calgary to provide opposition to the Edmonton British Rugby Football Club. The Calgary Rugby Union was formed to represent these Calgary teams as well as others which emerged later.
The fonds consists of correspondence, minutes, financial statements, newsletters, reports, etc. of the Alberta Rugby Union, and fixture books, minutes, etc. of the Calgary Union.
Calgary Canucks Rugby Club Fonds 1919-1920
M 2163AB: The Calgary Canucks Rugby Club was formed ca. 1914 but disbanded in 1915 because most of the team enlisted to fight in the war. It was reorganized for the 1919 season as part of the Alberta Rugby Football Union which also included the Calgary Tigers, Edmonton Eskimos and University of Alberta teams. The fonds consists of minutes, correspondence, receipts and news clippings.

M-7947AB: In the 1920s he began a teaching career in Edmonton that lasted until about 1951. He was very active in high school rugby. The fonds include minutes and correspondence of the Edmonton High School Rugby Union (1929-1936).

M 5700, M 8376, PA 3358, F 166AB: He was hired by the University of Alberta, Calgary campus in 1945 to teach physical education and became head of the department in 1959 and dean of the Faculty of Physical Education in 1974. He retired from the University of Calgary in 1979, at which time he wrote the book Fall Madness : A History of Senior and Professional Football in Calgary, Alberta, 1908-1978, at the request of the Calgary Stampeder Football Club. Goodwin was inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum in 1980. The fonds consists of scrapbooks about football (1972-1977); Calgary Stampeder Football Club programs (1947-1972); drafts of Fall Madness, and some correspondence related to the book; three home movies of football games (1948 Grey Cup in Toronto, 1949 in Regina, and 1940s at Mewata in Calgary).

Edmonton Eskimo Football Club Fond 1880-2000
Record No. 396AB: The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club was formed in 1949. The fonds contain information on previous Edmonton teams date as far back as 1880 and historical information dealing with the Edmonton Eskimo Football Club, the Canadian Football League publications, some team fact books, official record manuals and media guides dating from 1953.
