April - FREE BUS TRIP
Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds Education Program
Research shows that there has been a decline of physical activity and play in children over the past 50 years. The three major components of healthy lifestyles that are emphasized in our Creating Healthy Bodies and Minds are eating well, positive body image, and being physically active. Physical activity and play has shown to improve a child's motor function, creativity, decision-making, problem-solving, and social skills; all these skills contribute to successful learning and living.
Show us how your students are adding physical activity to their school day and how they are taking more interest in what they are doing to stay healthy and active. It can be through a short video, pictures, journals or art!
Submit your entry to the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum by April 24 and you will be entered into a draw to be made on April 28. Your class could win a Field Trip to the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum (includes admission, bus & pizza lunch)
June - FREE PIZZA PARTY
Be The Change Education Package
Take a picture of your students and or class doing something within the school and or community that teaches them how their actions can make a difference in their community. Clean up days, collecting for the food bank, reading to younger children, visiting elderly people in the nursing home are just a few of the things that show children they can play a huge role in making a difference in someone's life not matter how young they are.
Submit your picture before June 1, 2017, and your class will be entered into a draw to win a free field trip and pizza party to the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame.
Check back for more contents, pizza parties, and bus trips!
These presentations are open to two classrooms per speaker. Book your class today for $100.
